El-Karouz Institute is an educational institute for studying the Holy Bible for young people at the preparatory and secondary stages.
The institute was named after Saint Mark the Apostle, the evangelist of Egypt.
The institute dates back to 2013, when it was established under the care of His Grace Bishop Pavly, General Bishop, and Fr. Moussa Mounir, with the assistance of St. Timothy Center for Bible Study under the Bishopric of Youth.
This was in response to the need of our Coptic Orthodox Church for youth leaders and specialized servants in Bible study.
It was therefore decided to establish an institute for Bible study from a young age. The preparatory and secondary stages were selected, with a five-year program beginning in the first preparatory grade and ending in the second secondary grade.
The first class of El-Karouz Institute students was received in 2014 and graduated in 2019 by the hand of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, our beloved shepherd.
To prepare a generation of lovers, students, and servants of the Holy Bible.
